At 66, Denise Austin reveals in video how to get a lifted booty and toned back

If you’ve ever wondered how to get more toned glutes or a stronger back, fitness pro Dennis Austin has you covered. The 66-year-old always posts easy workout moves for women over 50, and this time she’s sharing her favorite, a compound movement that combines back exercises with butt exercises.

Do you want a lifted booty and a nice shapely back? “Well, it’s my favorite exercise,” Austin said in a recent Instagram video. Do this and you will see results.   1. First, perform a deadlift by standing with feet shoulder-width apart, holding the weight in front of the thighs, then slowly lower the weight toward the feet by pushing the hips back.
  2. Next, add a row to the movement: Before finishing the deadlift, bring the weight next to the ribcage while sending the elbows toward the ceiling while squeezing the shoulder blades.
  3. To finish, extend the arms back toward the legs before returning to standing position in a fast, controlled movement while squeezing the glutes.
